Well, I thought I would toss this one in the ring and see if there are any dupes..Its not a copy as far as I know..just sumtin I did this afternoon. Recipe is so simple it make you mamma cry for a slap.
(Old saying from some deep south island)
I did these three at time...and here ya go..[p]1 Can of Bud Light (or facimilie) PBR if your hard up :-)[p]I thick slice of onion...diced or chopped..[p]1 small frying pan....(3 brats remember??)[p]simmer onions till they begin to clear...add brats..add beer till half covered on the brats..[p]simmer 10 to 15 minutes and turn brats till brats are foggy white covered...and fat..[p]remove from onion sauce...put in pan or plate...and spoon coat em with French's mustard. [p]Grill using Cats distingished no cap method and control the flaming with the lower vent...grill at 500 to 600 F while turning occassionally till nicely dark brown strippings show...place in bun with favorite sauce and enjoy....Dang these were to me the best brat's I have eaten yet...[p]BTW...I sampled the left over onion and beer...and never wasted a speck..try it sometime.. I can imagine a great gravey from it.[p]Cheers..C~W and Happy Independence Day..
Never forget how we achieved it or keep it! God Bless our troops whereever they serve.

Char-Woody,
Dang! I knew you were a good cook and giller, but I didn't think you could read the stars.[p]A week ago we bought about 6 lbs of home-made "Polish" sausage, kinda like but tastes better than your store bought brats.[p]Just an hr. ago the better half was asking me how I planned to cook them on the BGE. I said I didn't know but would check on the forum.[p]Turned on my computer - and bingo - there you are.[p]So now Char-Woody you have a new title to claim - a soothsayer, stargazer - mind-reader - take your pick. [p]Thanks alot - I'll give er a shot with your suggestion.[p]Anthony

Char-Woody, THANKS! Just in time, too! Back on June 10th I was looking for a recipe to "elevate the lowly brat" and I think you just ran it up the ladder! RRP[p]
