Gasket Repairs

Well my gasket is fried once again. It seems like everyday we have another message on gasket replacement. Has anyone here ordered a Kamodo gasket? If so, where did you get one and how much did it cost? I really like the application of the Rutland gasket, but I do have concerns with the food saftey and the Rutland (wish someone in the food saftey business would address). I had an idea about using somekind of oven gasket but have not had time to research.
At the least I believe we need to get the mothership to address this obvious design flaw that that is an ongoing problem just as the ceramic grate was. I would have less of a problem with this if it didn't happen all the time. Lets face it you can replace the gasket (a real PITA) an fry it the first time you cook on it if you are not careful. Also, I have recipes where I cook at upward of 1000 degrees, and even if I don't kill it during that cook, chances are I just cut the life of the felt in half. There has to be a better solution.
If I go back to a felt gasket I am going to try the application on just the bottom. That way when I fry it I only have to scrape it off of one side.
