white looking mold inside both of my eggs

Can anyone give me some advise on how I can prevent this white looking mold from forming inside both of my eggs? I pressure wash all of the internal parts inside both of my eggs but it is still forming! I keep my eggs covered when not used.....HELP!

Pressure washing sounds like the problem. You are keeping the inside moist. I have never cleaned the inside of my egg in the 5 years I've had her.
The mold will burn off when you start a fire. I would let a full load of lump burn at about 400* to try and dry out the insides and would refrain from power washing her again.

I'll see what Wardster bet and raise it a quarter. Think of the construction of your BGE - it has a hard kiln fired ceramic exterior called a glaze and then the inside is poreous ceramic. By power washing you have forced water into the ceramic and then it has no way to evaporate due to the hard glaze. Mold is a given. Just fire it up and let the mold burn off - and as Wardster says forget the use of water inside your egg.

Wardster,
With too much time between cooks especially in summer your going to see some mold. I too never wash it. Just fire it up like said and say bye bye to mister mold. If I'm doing a low and slow and go nuclear the day before to kill off all the bad stuff if its been awhile.
