I was shopping at my local dealer's yesterday, and they asked me if I'd be interested in attending an Eggfest there if they got one together. I said I sure would be, as long as it didn't conflict with the Eggtoberfest in Atlanta.[p]So they're talking about doing it end of September or some time in October. Only thing is, they don't really know where to begin, except they're going to contact all the folks who have bought an Egg there.[p]Is there somebody I can put them in touch with here, who could give them pointers on how to run one successfully? I think it's great they're willing to do it, and I want to help them out so they're inclined to try it again next year![p]By the way, this dealer is in Louisville, KY.

Eggtuary,[p]Tell them that, first and foremost, an Eggfest is a social event where enthusiatic Eggers share their cooking, their recipes, their eggsperience, and, one heck of a good ole time.[p]IMHO, if they keep this "Spirit of Eggtoberfest" alive in their event, they can't go wrong![p]They might want to check the schedule for other Eggfests to avoid conflicts.[p]And, here's a couple of links to current or past Eggfest information pages as examples of what others have done:
Eggtoberfest 2004
Texas Eggfest
First Oklahoma Eggfest[p]Hope some of this helps,

Eggtuary,[p]Check with Qbabe. She started one up in Ocala, Florida and it is fantastic.[p]Cajun

Eggtuary,[p]Never been to one, myself, but judging from the pictures I gather that beer has something to do with it.[p]RE

Wardster,[p]Apparently, an inflatible sheep is also required but in this instance I find it best not to ask.[p]RE

Eggtuary,
I think it would be great to have a eggfest in Louisville. I was hopeing to go to Atlanta this year for my first eggfest but my sister in law is coming from Scotland to visit so I think the thing to do is to be home when she gets here.
