WOW...
I have owned my mini EGG since 2008, and it has been a great addition to my collection of eggs, also perfectly suited for travel. So, I traveled with it... and the EGG and the table it was sitting on somehow fell over onto a paved driveway in a storm in the middle of the night. The egg was in the BGE stand with 4 feet sitting on the table.
So, I went out to check on it in the morning, and the Egg and the table were laying on their side on the paved driveway, and I was SURE it was broken forever... didn't take any pics because I was freaked out! Just picked it up to examine it and believe it or not... NOT DAMAGED!! It landed on the thermometer and the handle just perfectly face down in the driveway. The thermometer was broken, but I believe the way it fell that the thermometer and handle saved the egg from breaking.
Am I lucky, or what? Never had that happen to any of my eggs.
Thanks for lookin.

Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Better to be lucky than good comes to mind. Glad you and the BGE dodged a bullet. Must have quite some wind gusts.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

A few years back my Medium and the Mini, both on my table, were left outside overnight while the Medium cooled down. It got windy and the table blew over. The Medium was destroyed and the Mini survived. Luckily it fell onto some snow on the grass adjacent to the patio.
I still use it (plus the new Large) but they go back in the shed overnight now.Somewhere on the Colorado Front Range
