First time pizza tonight....crust?

I am trying my first pizza tonight. Before trying the homemade crust, I bought a pre-made one at the grocery. Does anyone have suggestions for using a pre-made? I have heard of people brushing with olive oil, putting on for a couple of minutes then dressing to cook. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
