Was missing my Large BGE so I found a replacement and smoked a butt!

As luck would have it I found a whole setup with a ton of accessories locally thru marketplace. I bought a fireboard drive 2 bundle from CGS which I really like.
I smoked my first Pork Butt yesterday which came out phenominal. 11 lbs. Few chunks of Apple wood and 250 pit temp. After 3 hours spritz every 30 min unitl it hit 165 IT then another 2.5 hours in the Crutch at 275 to 204 IT. Vented for 15 min and then rested in the oven at 170 for several hours. I nailed it! The bone pulled right out clean and I didn’t even need claws to shred. It pulled apart ike butta! Guests had choice of Blues Hog or homemade East Carolina vinegar. I’m a vinegar base guy myself!
Also did pizza and brisket burgers within the last few weeks. Im happy to be back!

Yeah. Always make 2 or 4. It freezes well and can be used for lots of post cook meals. You are already burning the lump. I usually end up getting them from Costco. They come in a two-pack.A31unit said:F%$@&*. Its almost gone. My wife allowed family to get waaaay too much doggy bags. This will never happen again. Now I need to make another.
Edit: welcome back by the way!
