Party Ribs

Did two racks using Meat Church party ribs recipe. They are pretty rich, so think they’re more of an appetizer than a main dish, but we did a pantry supper, and that’s what I had.

Next time I’d do about 30 minutes longer to get them more tender. They weren’t “tough” but I would have liked more off the bone bite IYKYK. Kids had fun with them. I think it’s the first time all the ladies ate ribs off the bone. I have 5 daughters so I feel like that should be an award.

The wife doesn’t like sweet meat, so hers didn’t get brown sugar or honey.

Those looks tremendous. I know you said you would go 30 minutes longer next time, how long and at what temp did these go?

    Great finish on those ribs.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

90 minutes on 275, then 30 minutes in a pan with butter, sauce, honey and brown sugar. Then 15 minutes open. Next time I’ll just add some time to each time period maybe. They were fun to eat like this.

I also done a rack of party ribs, first attempt. Mine also were a little tough compared to normal, still very tasty. I used Meat Church Blanco and Hot Honey Hog for rubs, When I got to the pan portion I used Texas Pepper Jelly Rib Candy (Apple Cherry Habanero) and a little Sweet Baby Rays. Very tasty with an occasional kick of heat, not sure if it was the Hot Honey Hog or the Rib Candy ! I too think adding a little time to tenderize is going to happen next time !

Looks good! Those are some meaty ribs.

I like that there's more sauce + rub on each rib. Need to try this.
