Is there a replacement vent for the XXL BGE that will stay adjusted when you open the lid?  I'll get a temp dialed in and open the lit and the vent swings closed.  I'm sure I could rig it some way but it would be nice to have it stay in position.  Any thoughts/ideas greatly appreciated.

I don't know the type of vent on the XXL BGE.  Hopefully forum owners will be along.  But if it is a bigger version of the DFMT then check out this link:

The Smokeware cap will definitely do what you want.
I used one very successfully for quite a while, until I switched to a Smobot for my longer cooks.

Just align the metal daisy wheel so that the screw holding the moveable portion is positioned so that it’s facing towards the front of the egg.

The new BGE vent design sticks much better and doesn't move when you open the egg.
