RRP Ham and Bean Soup

Back in 2010, I was a newbie on the BGE. Unfortunately, once a newbie always a newbie.  Anyway, RRP posted a method for freezing before using the Foodsaver for soups.  I still follow this method today.  In the same thread, @RRP aka Ron Pratt, Dunlap, IL shared his Ham and Bean Soup recipe.  

Well, today is another day that I have followed this recipe.  Thank you!

I have only made it once with a real ham bone, but that will be in the works soon.  Here is today's with some ham from the manager's bin.  Started with some Ham Hocks...



Not much meat from them, sautéed and added the veggies, slurry, ham etc.
