The good news here-F1 racing and no distractions.  Bump as they are rolling the tyres (nod) Friday.

A nibble out of Max's lead.  Can Lando capitalise on Max's grid penalty?

Race qualifying delayed til Sunday. See below:

Qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix has been postponed until Sunday morning, with a decision on a start time to be taken by the FIA as soon as possible.

The session had been due to run at 1500 local time on Saturday afternoon at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, but the start of Q1 was postponed when torrential rain – along with thunder and lightning – hit the circuit, resulting in pools of water forming on the track.

As the rain continued to fall in the time that followed – and with the forecast suggesting there would be no abating in the weather – it was announced that qualifying would not be able to take place, with the session now set to run on Sunday prior to the Grand Prix.

Best I can sort out now is that it is scheduled to start at 7 AM (EST), broadcast channel TBD.  I will update later this PM as the USA (most states) time shift may affect the local viewing time.

Best I can sort out right now-Qualifying will go at 5:30 AM EST Sunday and the Race at 10:30 AM EST.
(The EDT to EST shift could not have come at a more inconvenient time...)
    Best I can determine broadcast-wise:
Qualifying only on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
    Race live on ESPN+.
    Race delayed ESPN2 at Noon.

    Will take any updates/corrections.
    Lights out?? =)

    Many thanks.
Edit:  Fortunately I DVR'd all the ESPN channels in that time frame and am now catching up on the Qualifying.

Wow, I don't think it could have gone much worse for Lando. Just wow.

And before you say, he could have crashed, honeslty, I think he'd rather have crashed than go through that emotional roller coaster. That was crazy.

Need the lowest funded team on the circuit  (Haas) to regain position in the Constructor's race. As an example, below is the Constructor's pay off for 2023:

Estimated F1 prize money for 2023

Constructors’ finishing position Estimated prize money ($)
    1st$140m (£106m)
    2nd$131m (£99m)
    3rd$122m (£93m)
    4th$113m (£86m)
    5th$104m (£79m)
    6th$95m (£72m)
    7th$87m (£66m)
    8th$78m (£59m)
    9th$69m (£52m)
    10th$60m (£45m)

As with everything F1 there are real $$/£ in this finish.
