snickers has always been my favorite.  this year i grabbed a bag of the small ones for halloween trick or treat,  never thought the small ones would be these mini mini minis..... ridiculous. glad i also bought a bag of reeces.

We give out regular sized Hershey's chocolate bars.  Not dealing with all the friggin allergies with anything more than chocolate for us.  Always over-buy for post Halloween enjoyment.
Edit: on a good weather night (not predicted this year) we may get 20-25 treaters.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

im at the end of a dark road, i get 1 or two every couple of years. i tell them to grab handfuls to to get rid of the stuff. it amazes me a kid will just pick out one candy. the rest will get frozen as i like the snickers frozen best

the other end of the street looks like uberville. kids roll out like clowns in a tiny car from the neighboring city. thousands of kids. i leave work early to get off the road before they arrive

Haven't had a trick or treater in years.  Density in my neck of the woods is to low.  ROI in neighboring master planned communities is much much higher.

  • We have not had a trick or treater in 29 years.  We are out in the country.

Above two comments made me reminisce.  I grew up north of Sioux Falls about 10 miles, nearest neighbors were 3/4 mile away.  Always had a costume for the gradeschool party (ours were always home-made) and Mom took us trick-or-treating, by car.  We'd stop at the first farmhouse, the wife would invite us in, yell "Clarence, come upstairs, the Botch kids are here!"  Then she'd pour a pound of candy into our bags, and sometimes a camera would come out.  Then we'd drive to the next farmhouse.
After visiting all 5 of our neighbors within 1.5 mile or so, we stopped, and the candy sacks were full.

I saw your post with this pic on another thread; had no idea that was an actual "Snickers bar"!

    Two things.

Why is “fun size” so un-fun?

Taking your cue from Mr. Pitt?

just posted it that way to show the size. shrinkflation used to be different in the old days, make the bar 10 percent bigger, then raise the price, then shrink the bar when none is watching. nowadays its shrink the product and make the container bigger and charge like hell
