Looks good to me but don't forget to add feet to the egg and incorporate them into the height of the finished product.
  • qty 4 ceramic pot risers, 12x12" fire board, and then put wood stove gasket material around the edge of the cut out on the top shelf .....

Three supports are a better idea than four. Much easier to keep stable.
Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.
  • Here is my final concept, thanks to every body for your feedback.  It will be a little bit more expensive that just buying a off the shelf table.  But I think I will really like the stainless steel top shelf.  Its a SS weldment made with 3 gauge SS sheet metal formed over on all four edges with some L bar stock underneath.  The pot risers are on a 16" stone from the hardware store.  With the umbrella removed the cover I purchased should fit really well.  The table will have lots of tools hanging on it and all the green egg accessories.  I will post pictures when its all complete :)

Perhaps you already know this since it is a common sense issue, but the chimney of your BGE can shoot extremely high heat out so for safety sake that umbrella shouldn't be directly overhead. Also over the years some eggers have commented that their s/s top gets skin searing hot from the sun, but again maybe that's why you added the umbrella let alone the 4 casters on the legs for mobility out of the sun. And a belated welcome aboard!

@rrp good safety advice there. I have a retractable awning on the deck and pull it back so that it is not directly over the chimney, and even further back with the dome open during lighting. just in case you know.

But ... and this is what I found by happenstance ... because I always have a rain cap on the reggulator, when the dome is closed, the rain cap gets hot but the air coming out of the chimney gets splayed about and the air never gets really hot above the egg even when cooking at 450F or so. I can hold my bare hand over the chimney and feel nothing. nice side effect of using the rain cap.

of course YMMV, safety first, etc etc.
