Can’t claim credit for the idea - I’m not that creative. Holds a hot lid and allows condensation to drip back in to the cocotte.

I will mention to check the bottom tongue of that piece for scorching, even on an induction top. I ruined a favorite wooden spoon decades ago just constantly stirring a cajun roux, the whole bowl and a quarter of the handle were completely black (roux didn't burn, though
