Replacement Fire Bowl - Lg BGE?

Hello Eggers Slightly strange question - do any of you know if anyone makes a replacement Fire Bowl for the Lg BGE, that is not made out of Ceramic? My Google research has come up empty. My Egg is 15 years old, Firebowl is in several pieces, my dealer is Out of Business, and all my BGE paperwork, yes including my original receipt was lost when my basement flooded four times this Spring. I tried to go back through the Credit Card company to see if they could find the purchase, but when I told them it was 15 years ago, they just started laughing. If someone made an aftermarket Fire Bowl out of steel or similar, I would take a hard look. I tried a couple other BGE Dealers in the area, but they both said all warranty claims have to go through the BGE website and that requires a pic of the original receipt. I admit I may be stuck buyig the BGE OEM part for $169!

Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.

That may work. I'll take a look...thanks!

I would leave the remnants of the fire bowl in place or you might risk cracking your base.

Also probably everyone on this forum's fire bowl is cracked and broken, if it is supporting its own weight and resembles a bowl I wouldn't worry too much.

Have you contacted BGE directly by email? I had a similar issue in the UK and got a replacement fire bowl. Just took a couple of friendly emails.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tried my local Ace Hardware yesterday and they were hard over on all warranty claims had to be done on the BGE website, and that requires a pic of your original receipt, which of course was destroyed in the flood.
I just did send and email to BGE and begged forgiveness, so we'll see. I wrote to them once before and they helped me out. Does anyone know if Bruce Bohannon is still at BGE? He was my original point of contact.

I have two used LBGE fire bowels that are cracked, but in one piece and usable. In fact I am still using one of them even though my warranty replacement is sitting on the patio. I am willing to give you one of them if you will pay the shipping. No guarantees it will survive the trip. If you live anywhere near central Wisconsin, it would be better if you just came over and picked it up. Bruce Dimick, 5821 Church Ave. Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494.

you might be getting the run around. bge has always been pretty adamant that replacement parts go thru the dealers and distributors. i know things have changed but dont see bge taking that up. i kind of find the proof of purchase to be a little odd, theres receipt generators online......
