BGE Pizza stone

Any tips to keep the pizza from sticking to the stone.  My first effort at making a pizza, the pizza was difficult to get off the stone, when finished.

cornmeal.  I've been cooking handmade pizza on stones for over 30 years, everyone has been on cornmeal - oven and now egg.

take a tablespoon or so of cornmeal and scatter it on the stone immediately before paying down the pizza. if you put it down earlier, the cornmeal will burn and smoke.

I have to disagree.  Cornmeal is the secret to your pie not sticking to the peel.  But the stone, it sounds like you didn’t preheat it enough (if at all).  You need nothing on the stone to keep a pie from sticking, as long as it’s hot enough (I would go with at least a 45-minute preheat).

In my short experience of just 3 weeks with the EGG my pizza counter is at 16 (plus a couple of focaccia). Never used anything on the stone, just long preheating (45 mins at 700 F). Impossible to have it stick when the stone is this hot
  • I do both.  Preheat at target temperature for at least 30 minutes and use corn starch on both the stone and the peel.  Always works.

I usually make my pizzas in the house on this screen
    https://www.webstaurantstore.com/choice-12-aluminum-pizza-screen/407PZSCRN12.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkdO0BhDxARIsANkNcrePTgcqoQfems4tgYVpI3sT_2p3YDOIUrtWPAKsyPlfaeSgGYRAXcEaAkhHEALw_wcB

This saves Peel issues mainly but after a few minutes I pull the screen out and leave pizza on the stone and start making the next pizza.   I used to use Parchment paper but switched to screen.  On the last run I used some baking sheets (not the nice indoor silicone ones... SWMBO would kill me) and that worked out well as well.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.
