Lights out soon.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Looking forward to seeing how Perez does, or if he is one step closer to losing his seat?

Yeah, I don't know how much more Perez the Red Bull Team can take.
That seat should be going to Sainz.

I read somewhere that Perez's contract says that if he is more than 100 points behind Max at the summer break, Red Bull can drop him. He is 137 points behind right now with two races until the summer break. So he needs to be great these next two weeks. But seems like a longshot for him to overcome the current gap.

The disparity between Maximillian V. an Checo is amazing.  Supposedly same kit.  Shows how good MV is, because Checo is no slouch.

Checo crashed out in the second round of today's quals.

RB cannot afford crashes, how bad was it?

WTF did Lando Norris do and why did McLaren have them swap positions?  Lando was 6 seconds ahead when he slowed to let Oscar by?  Stupid stuff.

He got the clean air being given the preferential pit strategy normally reserved for the leading driver to fend off Mercedes and red bull after Oscar earned the lead and controlled the race up until that point

Hmmm.  Thank you for the explanation.   Coming from NASCAR and dirt track background, can’t say I agree with that decision.  From a team perspective, Lando gave up 7 points in the championship running and McLaren didn’t pick up any extra in the constructors cup portion.  Seems stupid.

Your first win not being a win, but clearly driver with better pace gives it to you?  Lando doesn’t have that killer spirirt.

I’m from the nascsr world too but after Dale died I was team Kevin and Dale jr. with them retired I’ve lost interest in restrictor plate pack racing

This one didn’t play out well. If they would have done it the first lap after the pit cycle advantage and let them race Lando might have won it on merit

I agree, strategically, it was a STUPID decision. Those points were far better off sitting with Lando. In fact, if Oscar was leading the race ... asking him to let LANDO past would have been a more understandable strategy.
