OT-ISLE OF MANN MOTORCYCLE RACE 27 May thru xx-June-OT

I have a couple older DVDs of the Isle of Mann race, and it's crazy amazing/stupid.  Tonight on 60 Minutes they did a double-section on it, the first on the Isle of Mann's history (which was interesting) and the second dedicated to the race itself.
I wanted to provide a public service by posting where/when you could watch this race, but (surprise surprise) there's no way to watch it free here in the US.  But there IS one place you CAN watch the entire thing, free: in person at the Isle of Mann; no Admission fees!

Think about that for a moment: there was a recent discussion here about attending an F1 race here in the US, $600 minimum for an ~2-hr race (iirc), where a bunch of pampered **** pilots parade proudly around a track in titanium roll cages.  Vs. watching a bunch of hungry idiots riding atop a bike at 210 mph thru anglo-saxon-irish-norse villages with stone walls and spectators inches to either side, wearing a helmet and gloves.

I'm sure the race will be available via EweTube in a few days, and those with a VPN can probably watch it real-time.

A sorta-related story also came on tonight (think it was CBS News) that a very recent Taylor Swift concert in Portugal had a huge amount of US fans, who figured out that the local ticket price ($60) plus airfare to Portugal was less than the cost to see her in the US.  Glad to see at least a part of Congress (not the half that works for the Oligarchs) is trying to tamp down on Ticketbastard.  Rant off; I need to mow the lawn now.
