Who challenges Verstappen?
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Comments

  • I hope we get some rain because this is one of the most boring races in all of motorsport.
I don't think anyone will outqualify Max.  I'm not a Max hater or anything, but I'd like to see Lando show well.
The following weekend is the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, then shortly after than I'll be on a plane headed to the 24 Hours of Le Mans!

Qualifying Grid (and race finish also, based on Monaco)

    1 Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
    2 Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
    3 Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)
    4 Lando Norris (McLaren)
    5 George Russell (Mercedes)
    6 Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
    7 Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)
    8 Yuki Tsunoda (RB)
    9 Alex Albon (Williams)
    10 Pierre Gasly (Alpine)
    11 Esteban Ocon (Alpine)
    12 Daniel Ricciardo (RB)
    13 Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
    14 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)
    15 Logan Sargeant (Williams)
    16 Sergio Perez (Red Bull)
    17 Valtteri Bottas (Sauber)
    18 Zhou Guanyu (Sauber)

I find it hard to believe that Adrian Newey leaving Red Bull and not being included in technical meetings could have such a dramatic effect already.

Thanks @Ozzie_Isaac.  Other than the first lap, as you note it was a procession.  Definitely lacking any solid wheel-to-wheel racing. Nest up Montreal in two weeks.  Separate post later.
