Feet vs stand

I’m setting my egg on a lowered counter. I see there’s a Grill Stand Nest for this and the good old Green Egg Feet. Anyone have a preference for one over the other?

I'd go with the feet if you have them already. (I don't think you can purchase them anymore through BGE) The nest stand is nice a choice. The only negative I could see with the nest stand is the possibility of flaking paint and rust. (I would imagine it's powder coated like their nests that tend to rust after a couple years in the elements.)

I agree with @WeberWho…but for possible future readers, raising the same question then inexpensive fired ceramic pot feet sold at nurseries also do the trick.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Being tall, I would pick the option that was more comfortable for you, bending-over-wise. Cooking a brisket on my LBGE in a nest was fine, as there was little interaction at the grate level; but stir-frying on my SBGE, in a nest, was not comfortable at all, where I'm bending over continuously for a few minutes."Hallelujah, Noel, be it Heaven or Hell,

They’re the same height. Not a traditional nest like we all know. It’s just to keep it off the counter.I was at my ACE hardware store and they didn’t have any of this stuff. They had every other accessory BGE makes but not what I needed. Not even the flower pot stands.

That was my fault, I read “Grill Stand Nest” and assumed the wheeled “Nest”, didn’t know that short metal stand even existed."Hallelujah, Noel, be it Heaven or Hell,

I always love when something like these are shown for sale for 4 pieces. I don’t mean to be a smarty*ss but remember these simple proven mathematical FACTs. 2 feet under a 360 degree base means it will titter and fall over. 3 feet under a 360 degree base means it will set there rock solid! 4 feet goes back to being a tiller-totter even though it won’t fall over like just 2 will.,Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

HA! Yeah I only had 3 on my last egg. (Had to leave it at my last house when we sold, part of the deal. That meant it was time to upgrade 😁).

The snails are pretty cool, however, I went with the nest stand. It’s sits there. Flat. No wobbling. I’ll give it a thumbs up. 👍
