Even with no coins on any of the ponies, can't you still be happy for the "faithfuls" who plunked down $2 or who knows how much more at 18-1 odd$ paying $39.22!

No guts - no glory!

Nothing like totally missing the winner-thus in election terms all down ballot finishers did nothing.
No chance given the race outcome and nothing worse than having the 2, 3 and 4 finishers.  Back again (with luck) next year.
Thanks for the salvation outlet @RRP.
The brown water is not as nice this PM.

Edit: tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo so there's that celebration on the horizon.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Sorry buddy…about 50 years ago we got into attending and betting on Saturday night harness horse racing for a few summer months. Then that lead to a couple years driving up to Arlington Race Track in Chicago 3 hours each way. Did we even cover our costs? Of course not! The VERY last time I ever bet on a horse race and the reason I even remember it…was the last race that day at Arlington was a “claiming race”. There were 25 horses, but only 17 slots. I thought here was my LAST chance at winning at horse racing so I wanted to win! So I bet $2  to WIN on all 17 slots!

So…after being so proud of KNOWING that I had the WINing TICKET in my hand  I recall waving those tickets to those racing patrons still in the stands. So my $34 gamble resulted in clearing $1.30. WOW, huh???

HAR HAR HAR !  Just don’t ask me for horse race betting advice!

Apparently the winner is my aunts (wife’s side) neighbor! And she bet on them!

I had Mystik and Forever as the daily double, closest have ever come to hitting the DD.
