Water Proofing Egg Genius

I love my Egg Genius.  Set the pit temp for a long, slow cook and go to bed UNLESS rainy weather threatens.  The manufacture confirms the controller is not rated water proof and  recommends  construction of a foil tent over the controller to protect it from rain.  Unfortunately no pictures are provided.

Has anyone tried this or come up with a better solution?

Welcome. I made these covers years ago for my Stoker fans.

If you're handy with a fine-tooth saw or Dremel, I'd buy a large plastic glass/tumbler, cut a retangular slot in the side, and slide it over the unit inverted.
