Can I plug a receiver and a tube amp into the same set of speakers but only use one at a time? Any back feed issues? I'm using polk audio rti a7's and they have dual inputs on the back but I don't bi amp. I'm looking at buying a tube amp but don't want to buy another set of speakers and don't want to unplug and plug the amp that I want to use.

Personally, I'd go through a switch. You'll be connecting the 2 amps together otherwise, and pushing power from one amp into the other ... I wouldn't mess around like that. Something like this, but I'm sure you can find something much cheaper:

Best to not plug in direct at same time. A switch like @Mark_B_Good would be good, or use the signal out from the receiver into the tube amp and only use the tube amp for everything.

Thanks for the reply, I never knew that existed and it does seem like a much better idea.
