Decided to try out the Pars rice cooker with some more advanced recipes. My wife loves morasa polo so I gave it a go. I paired it with joojeh chicken kabobs.
Prepped a couple whole carrots and the zest of an orange for the rice. Boiled in sugar water to soften.
Cooked an onion mixture with roasted pistachios, roasted almonds slivers, cranberries, golden raisins, the carrots/orange peel and some spices.
While the rice and mixture was in the rice
cooker, I pulled out the boneless chicken thighs that had been marinating for 24 hours.

I prepped some kabobs on flat skewers and put them on a 500F raised direct egg.
The finished platter.
Here are the recipes I used (and adapted slightly)

I'm awestruck. Glad you did it justice by creating this thread and not burying it in WAYCTD, I can search on Persian down the road.
Edit: had to hit Esc immediately after clicking the rice recipe link, to bypass the pesky free-trial-wall, saved it in PDF now.canuckland -

This just happened to appear in my Twitter (that's right Elon, I said "Twitter") feed and thought it might add some further inspiration for Persian food fans...

She like to boogie,
She like the tube stock boogie
EDIT: I was today years old to learn the tune was “Tube Snake Boogie”, not “Tube Steak Boogie”, which makes my post less humorous than it was…

(Sure sounds like they’re singing Steak the first couple times, but Snake makes more lyrical sense, from a ZZ Top pov…)___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

Wow, that's bizarre. I made my first post on my iPad/magic keyboard combo, as my laptop was recharging. I used the "Share/Copy" function for the video on EweTube (which only recently has been fixed on this here Vanilla) but the final iPad post only gave the link.
Now, my Macbook is fully charged, I did the exact same "Share/Copy" of the official video on YT, and now the video posts; my iPad posts the link and my MBP direct-posts the video itself.
Sorry about the temp thread derail.
