2024 New Year Lunch

Happy New Year all!
Got invited to NY lunch by a sibling, they ordered Indian and Chinese, many guests brought desserts, I brought the same old pedestrian MSM and pizzas.
Made the effort worthwhile when MSM was the first pan to show its bottom, and a guest who lived in Montreal for ten years approved

“Pedestrian” is not a term that belongs anywhere near the above post. Great looking eats. I could put a whole lot of hurt on that spread!
Hope you enjoyed the festivities. -
You brought the winner. I hope there was a small army to inhale that spread. What a feeder.Happy New Year!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

GEEZ! What a spread! Obviously your sibling who invited you knows one helluva lot more people than I do!!! Btw where was even held?

Oh my, Gary, what a spread. Happy New Year!Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
@GrateEggspectations It's getting boring making MSM but it's popular and it's the only way this old dog knows how to cook brisket without screwing up Also, all the little ones in attendance (our #1 and #2 grands were absent) picked pizzas over the ethnic fares.canuckland

@caliking Was thinking of you when I posted. I'm sure you can tell most of the Indian dishes from the picture... Rogan josh, butter chicken, chickpea curry, Indian eggplant curry, rice, riata, naan, salad, carrot halwa.
One of the crowd favourite desserts was the Ras Malai cakes on the right in the second last pic, a lady from back home sells it out of her home kitchen... quite good but kind of mild, can hardly taste the cardamon and saffron, if any.
