What is the best high heat gasket for a large Big Green Egg?

Looking for the highest heat resistance, longest lasting, etc.

Much appreciate any feedback!

Thanks

  • Contact Ron here on the forum and he’ll set up up with Rutland stove gasket for whatever size egg you have.  Probably search here for Rutland gasket.

    Thanks again, Ron!

Had my Egg up to about 1200F yesterday when I forgot the put the cap back on. Gasket is fine but I cracked my fire ring. Firebox was already cracked from a less intense atomic incident earlier. Something to consider.

@RRP has the best high heat gaskets.

I personally use the nomax precut pre-applied adhesive stuff from smokeware.  They only last 3-4 years, then I wait another 3-4 years to finally replace them.
