Interesting tandoor grill

This looks like an interesting toy for some. Aluminum probably makes it light weight. Could be fun to cook on. I have skewers I can hang from the top of my bge so not sure I have a use but I'm oddly intrigued. Especially if you can make naan which the egg doesn't work for, at least the traditional way.

That is a nifty idea. It has some of the convection cooking elements that the typical portable restaurant tandoors don't. And, the wider topside opening, that the BGE doesn't.

This gives me an idea though... cut a large terracotta pot, to make a sort of bell/dome, open at both ends. The wider end should fit over the rim of the BGE base, or just inside it. Lid could stay open, or closed, depending on the height of the terracotta piece.

I'll add this to the list of things I want to experiment with :)

^^^my project that never came to fruition: remove bottom of a waranty-replaced Large BGE and invert it over a brick lined drum.

I like it- I signed up for the emails- If you gamble $1 you can get a nice discount- if they ever ship
I wonder how hard it would be to get it delivered to the US?
