Added a new cooker this weekend. I haven't cooked one mine yet. Still have to put it together tomorrow. cooked on my father in law's . I'm excited to have a big grill that will travel.

    I'm old enough to remember when Weber called those "kettles".  Seemed like every dad in the neighborhood had one.

    Actually, I saw one of those at my favorite grill shop.  Really cool grill.  Let us know how it compares to ceramic!  I'm interested in the cold weather performance.

    By all accounts I've read on other forums they perform as well as ceramic kamados in cold weather.

    Congrats! Unlike ceramics, it's more responsive to temp adjustment, up and down. Enjoy!
    FWIW, these sisters own one, they were cooking adjacent to our tent at an eggfest here pre covid.
