New base... now what?

HQ got me a new base from a crack in my original. I have one of the "newer" bands for my large, one with a "lip" that covers the lid (I hope that makes sense.)

My question: Is there an easy way for me to take off my current lid and place it on my new base without losing my mind? Is there a youtube video that I haven't found to make my life easier to answer the dilemma I'm in? I'm very far from a handy man, and I have the BGE assembly instructions brought up for the bands here, https://biggreenegg.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/BGE_manual_EGG-L_web_07-05-17.pdf , and it hurts my head to look at.

Thanks in advance!

It's not really that difficult to do. Only issue is to think in advance where you are going to sit it down in between the moves. Here's an idea...got a buddy or neighbor who might help (do it) for a rack of ribs or a 6 pack?

Step one, open your dome all the way and remove the two little springs in the rear.  Do not let the dome slam shut, it is VERY HEAVY.  Close the dome.

Step 2, loosen the bottom band bolt until you can left the dome and bottom band off your old base.  Set it somewhere safe.

    Then, you are home free.

Take a photo of your springs before you remove them so you put them on correctly.

I just loosen the lower bolt, while holding the bands closed, I lift the dome off the old base, bands in tact, and drop on new base. Adjust and tighten lower band bolt.
    Thank you,

Remove everything from your original base.  Makes moving it easier.
