With the help of Ron @rrp, replaced mine a couple of years ago.
Large Egg with adjustable rig, Kick Ash Basket, Minimax and various Weber's.

Actually, if you already applied a Rutland, the line is “keep calm and admire your gasket”. I can’t see having to replace them.

I’ve voice got my Rutland on the workbench. Waiting for a boring weekend to install. Ron’s a superb guy to deal with!LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas

So I purchased a Nomex replacement gasket about a year ago with another product because it was on sale and also to get free shipping.
I haven’t replaced the gasket on my LBGE yet and my question is should I just not use it and purchase a rutland from Ron @rpp ? Well I’d need two now because I’ve also acquired a MMBGE since then.I’ve heard so many great things about the rutland and kind of thinking I’m willing to eat the cost of the Nomex (or giving it away) and only having to replace my gasket one last time with the rutland.
Thoughts for those of you that have them? -
Ron is great to work with and I need to find a non-rainy free day to do my replacement too.XL BGE

What I like about the Rutland is its only on the base. No need for a gasket on the lid. This may not be the official way but I've not missed a lid gasket one day since going w a Rutland years ago. And I pile on the Ron @RRP comments. Stellar dude and great service. Funny as sh*t too.Fish, Hunt, Cook....anything else?
