Got me large egg in April 1998. Still going strong I wish I had a count of the bags of charcoal I’ve used. It’s many. Still use the original manual hinges. Thanks. Jeff

Happy Anniversary. I've got you beat, my Egg is from 1996, still have the receipt. Yep, $400 back then.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

I replaced one firebox and quite a few charcoal grates. The early grates were porcelain.I lost the original cookbook and receipt a few years ago while moving across state. Prices have gone up a little since the 90s.
