    not the whole country, just some states? similarly to what's going on with abortion?

    Not yet, but there's a gold rush to be the most socially conservative state with the strictest anti-LBGT, anti-woke, anti-immigrant, anti-birth control, yada yada laws.  Guess that's how you climb the GOP ladder.
