Yakatori (Skewer) party help

I want to throw a skewer party. Unlike standard kabobs, each skewer will have only a single type of meat, fish or vegetables so it all cooks evenly and is ready at the same time.
I want to use cubes of beef, pork, chicken, yellowfin, shrimp, small potatoes, pineapple etc.
The rub (pun intended) is I want to use different rubs and marinades for each type of skewer so they don’t all end up tasting the same.

So break out your best marinades for each type of skewer and help me get this party started.
Thanks so much!!

Yakitori is fun to cook, and makes for an even more fun meal.
This book is a great resource for all kinds of yakitori ideas:

I usually make miso butter onigiri for yakitori night, and its a big hit.
An old thread may give you some ideas:

- Sounds like a great party.
- If your a WestPac sailor and remember "Monkey Meat On A Stick" I have a recipe for that given to me by Filipino Senior Chief's wife.
- Lot"s of Indonesian Satay recipes abound. I have a couple but not sure I can lay my hand on them quickly.
- Went to a retirement party back in the early 00's and both the retiree and her husband spent a great deal of time at Rosy Rd's PR. I was introduced to PR "Pincho's" and am still kicking my self in the seat meat that I did not get that recipe.
- Another idea which I have had in Yokosuka and Hong Kong is "Fish Ball" skewers. I have no recipe, but really good. What I remember about these were the different dipping sauces hot/sweet etc.
