Comfort food...

Morning All:

Yesterday the much better half wanted a pot roast so who am I to argue...started with a 2.5 pound chuck roast seasoned with Kosher salt & Dizzy Pig Raising the Steaks...


Browned it in some bacon grease in the Dutch Oven on the Egg...


Remove the roast & cook some onions & celery until soft...


Then added the liquids (tomato paste, red wine & beef stock) before putting the roast back in along with some carrots & potatoes...


Simmered for about 2.5 hours...removing everything from the DO to reduce the liquids for the sauce...


My bowl ready to be devoured!  It was an eggcellent meal!
