For some reason for which I am clueless neither of my two iPads are connecting to my wireless router today even though this iMac I am using is connected! Any advice would be appreciated!!!

have you tried rebooting the router?
Maybe try forgetting the network on the iPad - restarting the iPad and connect to the WiFi network again. You have most likely already tried all these steps -
I just had a head-slapping moment! When I had to reload my iMac Friday I had reverted to an earlier version of my wireless which of course meant re-entering my password. Therefore the two old iPad's were still trying to connect to the previous link.
