OT - Chili from Basics with Babish (YouTuber)
This past weekend, I made the chili from Babish's YouTube channel (I am in no way affiliated). I think this is the fourth time we've made it. It's so good. We have an old standby quick chili recipe, but this has become our slow, take all day to cook elevated chili recipe.
The first time I made it, I followed it to the T, but since then we've dropped the cinnamon and all spice and we don't use juice from a lime.
For all you folks out there that like beans in your chili, this might not be for you. It also doesn't have any tomatoes...tomatoes sauce, crushed, diced. Nothing. Unless you add the optional couple TBSP of tomato paste.
Its not a spicy chili...depending on the chilis you use. This is what we used. I could not find the dried chipotles this time and threw in a few New Mexico's as well. Also upped the arbols.
Did not get a pic of the finished bowl as I was too hungry. Y'all should try it out.
