XL underbite on lid--FIX

My XL was stuck open but with help from PHOTO EGG I got it closed.  Then the lid was not centered front to back.  Golden at BGE support told me to tap with a mallet and board on the rings/bands that were more or less than about 1/8 inch from lip and try to get them even all the way around.  I tried this and it worked great. I had to loosen the bottom band about 1/4 turn to get it to move up and then tighten it again. Also he said to loosen all the bolts on the open/closing section in the back and oil them then tighten them again but only firmly not too tight.  This helped also and was what Photo Egg had also mentioned.

I basically loosened my hinges from the ring/bands ... moved upper section to align better with lower section ... then retightened hinge connection.

Glad you were able to fix it relatively easily. It's one of those things that starts eating your soul away.
