Standing rib roast for Christmas

Last year we successfully did a 3 rib 8 lb standing rib roast for Christmas on our large BGE using the large rack.  This was more than enough for 5, but this year we will have the whole family of 13. So my question is what is the maximum size standing rib roast that will fit in the large rack and the large BGE?  All suggestions will be appreciated.

A four bone rack will fit with little to no overhang  of the plate setter.  If you don’t mind some overhang you can squeeze a five bone.  Will be pretty well done on the ends, but usually not a problem with a large crowd…

You can do a five bone on Rotisserie if you tie it up.  Which means you can do a five bone on the grate tied up.  You will have overhang over the platesetter.  Adjusted right that side can be your medium other medium rare etc.  Post photos

HDAF to foil protect-or a great excuse for an XL BGE as an early Xmas present.

I would do 4 ribs on the grill and as many as you need in the oven.  With that many people, no one will know which came from where!

Sounds like a great cook!  You would probably never notice a 14th person, right?

i would cut the larger into two halves for four end pieces. might be easier to fit in there as well.
