He's the owner. I think I recently saw their Texas Tandoori recommended in a  Texas Monthly article.

  • Picked up a thermoworks smoke (simple 2 temp one) and an extra food probe for when I don’t want pit + food and want food + food.  Thx for the heads up.  Testing new approach to Christmas “I bought this for you to give to me.”

@Buckwoody Egger As the years move on, your approach gains ever more traction.  However, I generally default to "here's the link" and received or not defines the level of the mood at the time.  As you well know, could be either end of the FYVM spectrum.  Hope it doesn't get forgotten!

I don't know if this counts as Black Friday deal, but a great price from what credible sources tell me is a great cookbook.

If you're new to Hulu you can get it for $2/month for a year. (I signed up last year when it .99/month for 12 months) I cancelled my subscription a few days ago as I was going to be bumped up to their regular rate. My wife just signed up and was able to get it for $2/month. The Hulu promotion ends tonight.

How easy was the cancellation process, were you able to do it online?  I'm still furious about the sh*t I had to go thru with siriusXM, and still dream about bombing their HQ.

I've decided that, tomorrow, I shall declare a personal "Termination Tuesday".

The amount of Sale emails I've received this year (especially this last month)  has been ridiculous.  And just today, I'm getting 4 to 6 emails apiece from some vendors saying "Only six hours, 37 minutes to cash in on these Deals!!"  Enough!
Tomorrow, on Termination Tuesday, ANY "we've extended our Sale!" email I get, will get an "Unsubscribe" from me.  Enough, already.

It maybe took a minute or two at most to cancel my subscription online to Hulu. Real basic. You just need to remember to cancel after a year or you'll be charged their normal monthly rate as it's automatic billing.

You are soooooo right. I started unsubscribing a week ago. Some of the better companies have a preference page where you can significantly limit the number of emails but most are acting like complete *hole spammers.

Long story... Just finished what I call annual song and dance with the ISP to renegotiate the 12-month discounts ahead of expiry in May.

We have a duopoly here and I have been with company A for about three decades. This BF both companies advertised great deals to attract new customers, I bit the bullet and signed up with company B, fully aware that I'd be playing the game with them down the road as well but their offer is for two years.

When I contacted existing company to terminate services they countered with a deal too good to refuse:

old deal - expires May 2023, $95+tax a month for internet, tv and home phone that I don't use.

new deal - expires Dec 2023, $77+tax a month for exact same services, Pus $200 billing credit. Rack rate is about $200/month.

Called new company to cancel, they dropped they price from $105 to $94, $200 credit. I declined. Going forward, it'll be easier to play them against each other around BF instead of early summer.
