    If the bands functions properly you're good to go. It's just a little surface rust. I'm not sure if it warrants a new $150+ band but I've spent that type of money in stupider ways.

    I would remove the band and sand it down to remove all the rust, then prime and paint. I use high temp primer and rustoleum ultra high heat satin black.
