Micro sd card question

Recently got a samsung s20 fe 5g and would like to put in a micro sd card. I see they have different speeds with different storage options. I would like to get a 512 and stick with the samsung brand but am wondering if I should go for the highest speed of just save my money and get a lower speed card. I will be strictly only storing music files which will be flat on the memory card. No 4k video playback or anything else.

FLAC files are significantly larger than MP3 files (4-5X larger), however, the read/streaming speeds of a "normal" card is way more than fast enough to stream a FLAC file.

Ya I've seen 1tb cards for like $20 with people saying they're fake. Since I didn't need a high speed card and my phone could take 1tb I went with a SanDisk from bestbuy 1tb on sale. Really excited to slap that all up in this biitch
Sorry, had to fix that for you.
    Love you bro!

Highest speed cards would be a waste of money if you're just playing music.

Thank you, I've been reading the same advice but I also read that big files are better with higher speeds. I just don't know if a f.l.a.c music file is considered a "big file"

There are a lot of fake cards being sold, that’s something to be mindful of.  For something like music, any card from Sandisk or Samsung should work.  High resolution video requires higher speed cards.  I usually get Sandisk cards from Costco but Samsung makes good ones too.

When I buy from Amazon, I never buy from third party vendors, I stick to the ones sold and shipped by Amazon.

Fake cards often look identical to the real ones and the only real way to tell is to test them.  Walmart recently got caught selling cards that were reporting a larger size than they actually were to the host device.  The scary part is that they would allow you to copy files to the card and it would report success but your data would actually get lost or other files would be overiden…
