  • NO FLAREUPS or burn spots on your food.  Consist temp throughout the meat. Guess that’s why all the Competition BBQ competitors use them!  Check out the SCA forums, and YouTube.

    I like them. I don’t use them all the time but they were worth the money to me. There is a learning curve. I think some people start out cooking to hot. They are not designed to high temp sear at 800 degrees.

  • Agree 100%.  If you look at my grill, I have a Fluke IR gun at the right shelf.I shoot the grill grates, and only run them at 550-600 to grill steak or chicken!

    Agree 100%.  If you look at my grill, I have a Fluke IR gun at the right shelf.I shoot the grill grates, and only run them at 550-600 to grill steak or chicken!
    Interesting grill . . . more info as to the brand & model.
