Sorry but hailing is not just a greeting. In Roman times ave was the word used for hail. A Roman could not be considered for emperor unless he was first hailed ( basically called a worthy leader) by the army legions. Hail had a similar usage with the Anglo saxons.Ozzie_Isaac said:
