Green Egg Thermometer

Yesterday I calibrated all my thermometers.They were all off by at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't guess it really matters everything has been turning out ok That does explain why it was taking longer than I thought it should on some cooks.

It happens. Found same issue with a gauge on another grill and just ordered a new, larger dial replacement, from tel tru.
Good to check yearly along with checking/tightening your 2 main band bolts.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
What Darian just said - plus if you remove that clip inside the dome so that you thermometer can move freely then any accidental bumping will not throw your thermometer out of whack. Gravity will keep the thermometer in the dome without that clip.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Thanks for the reminder. My mini shows it is 250 before I even light it. One day I will calibrate, but it makes me feel cool when it hits 900 to sear a steak.
