Meater and FlameBoss 500

Good Morning! I have a FlameBoss 500 and my wife got me a Meater for my birthday. I’m not all that familiar with it, so thought I’d ask the group. Any reason to keep it? Thank you!

Thanks for that. I actually have a Thermoworks thermometer for the oven. I also have a Joetisserie, so the Meaterwill come in handy there.

I did a simple pork loin cook last night.  I had some extra time and it wasn't 100% thawed, so I cooked it indirect using the Meater+.  

I watched a couple of shows and asked Alexa twice what the ambient temperature and internal temperatures were.  Sure beat having to get up and look.

Complete lazy man cook, but it was nice.  I am glad I have it.

You can hook more than one device (phone and a tablet, phone and an old phone) to your Meater, sign into your Meater cloud account on both and then if you decide to go run some errands or whatever you can see your temps from the device you bring with you by being linked thru the cloud. It’s quite impressive, convenient and great for long smokes.

Thanks, but the FB500 will monitor the meat and pit temp in the Egg. Added benefit is I can also control the temperature in the Egg via the cloud as well.
