New band assembly

So I bought an 8 yr old Large and got a new hinge/band kit. I accidentally didn't screw the spring brackets in before I bent the heck out of the big bolts torquing the whole system down (bolts should bend, i hear, so does that make them useless if trying to loosen everything?). Should I get new big bolts, loosen everything and try to re-tighten, or just get another kit completely?

Sometimes after tightening and bending the bolts, they will not retighten properly trying to reuse them. I normally buy another set of bolts AND nuts.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas
