Firebox Wobble - Any Recommendations?

Recently our firebox for our large BGE developed a hairline diagonal crack, so I called my local ACE about getting a free warrenty replacement.  They immediately went to bat for me and took one out of a floor model since they didn't have any on the shelf.  We put it in immediately since we were going to do a lot of cooking over the 4th holiday.
Only problem is this one has a slight wobble which I don't like.  I think the base must have a high spot ~ 1/8" or so.  Can I safely grind or file the base flat?  Any ideas out there?

You can either shim it with a flat washer or other piece of metal or try to sand down the high spot. Once you get some ash in there, it will shim/ stabilize itself but it’s definitely annoying wobbling around.

I set mine on a flat piece of concrete and slowly turned it while putting gentle pressure on the high side. The ceramics are fairly soft and it was easy to level it to acceptable point.

Thanks for the help,  I thick I will try the washer solution short term and go for the concrete grinding recommendation as time allows.  Tonight is Papa Murphy's Pizza night on the BGE.
