I've been perfectly happy with my XL Eggspander.  I know CGS is hugely popular here but their website is very confusing, so trying figure out what's what is a nightmare. There's also differences in what's available for XL vs the L which adds to the confusion.  And there's the rub -  I also had a bad experience calling the store with someone that had no interest in talking.
Thanks.  I agree about the www site, and info in a couple of videos seemed to be contradictory.  But the treatment by the woman who answered the phone really rubbed me the wrong way -- she wasn't just terse, she was borderline rude.  I'm very reluctant to buy into businesses that are like that, even though the products may be superb.
Seems like you can choose to never consider CGS again, or call them back ask to speak with the owner, and share your experience.

I'll bet any business owner wants feedback about their staff, both positive and negative.

Why should he spend any more time talking to them on the phone?  No need to look for a repeat performance.

There is nothing magical about the CGS system.  I love my CGS gear, but the Eggspander is just as good.  Just buy the Eggspander and be done with it.

If I ghosted every business, restaraunt, store, credit card company, internet provider etc that had had an employee that gave me crappy service I'd have practically no where to go.

I thank and praise and tip well and follow up if I get crappy service. Both are well recieved.

People will gripe and **** and complain to others yet not take any step to address it.

He took a bite of the apple and didn’t like the taste.  No need to track down the apple grower to let him know.  Who has time for that?  He can just buy a different apple.

However, I do appreciate your sentiment.

Some businesses practice continuous quality improvement, encouraging and acting on feedback both positive and negative.

Given the comments posted that echo my experience, my guess is that CGS is not operating under a CQI business model and that any feedback would fall on deaf ears.

Regardless, and especially if the above guess is true, I see no reason to make an investment of my time in an effort to help CGS refine and improve their business practice.

I've gotten what I hoped for in this thread, i.e. valuable feedback on the various rack options, and for that I am appreciative.
