I’ve attempted a couple Cornell chickens on the egg but haven’t gotten em in that ballpark yet that folks who’ve eaten at state fairs in upstate New York describe. I did one whole and one spatchcock but both indirect and not direct. I’ve also always followed the professors original recipe which I found out makes enough basting for 12 birds or so, so I’m going to dial that in too. Another Anybody else churned out some good Cornell birds with their egg?

I followed the recipe (scaling it down) and grilled raised direct with good results. I never had the real thing at the state fairs so I can’t really say that they tasted identical but it is a good recipe IMHO.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli
