When did you give up on cast iron?

I switch to wood spatulas with the exception of a very thin flexible metal spatula for eggs.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

I use wood for all my pans, except my woks. I use metal in those, but they are shaped special for woks.

I use metal in my cast iron. I just ate two delicious over easy eggs with a dusting of swamp venom by Dizzy Pig. A little avocado oil down in the medium low heat pan, cracked the eggs, waited a little bit and guided my metal turner under the eggs - no resistance - eggs slid right off the pan when done.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone
